white poo.... HELP

So I had a chicken and 3 quail hatch. bout 2 weeks later I found the chicken had crested eyes and white poo on his bum. I looked it up and it said it was possibly salmonella pullorum, which can spread through eggs. the chicken and quail were in the brooder together. They were laying quail. is it possible they got it too and will create generations of salmonella pullorum chicks? The quail had no symptoms

That's how a bird pees. Usually the white in the poop is equivalent to peeing.
