California whites lay white eggs so theirs are white and white rocks lay brown so theirs are a reddish color, typically close to their comb color.

red lobes for sure...the photos I saw of white rocks looked to have gray legs but i beleive you. Glad I posted!!Ok here's what I read:
California White = Pale legs, white lobes and trim (not fluffy) body
White rock = Yellow legs, reddish/brown lobes, straight comb and fluffy body
Cornish X Rock = Pea or walnut comb
