White rice looking things in poop - help!

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
My puppy had tapes like two months ago - confirmed by vet- and it didn't really look like that but they might look different in chickens.

My point was - a professional fecal is cheap.

Luckily they all seem to be looking and acting themselves and laying normal. Besides this poo I haven’t noticed any other symptoms mentioned. I got some Valbazen yesterday and will be treating them all this afternoon. Thanks everyone.

A predator got two of my hens. Don’t know how but two are completely missing and I haven’t even found their carcasses, no feather mess either. Must have been a clean hit. Probably a raccoon or skunk since coyotes don’t seem to come around here. I am down to 9 hens. But I haven’t seen anymore worm poops so maybe they took the weaker infected ones. Still treated the rest just in case. They seem to be happy and healthy.

Sorry if you have lost them. Could they be hiding? How long have they been missing? Is your coop locked up at dusk?

Valbazen is not the best choice for tapeworms since it does not have the praziquantel that Equimax has.

They’ve been missing for a few days now. I lock the coop when it gets dark and open it before I leave for work in the morning. With the time change it’s still dark out when I open it but they are still sleeping. I figure it’s better to do that than leave them cooped up all day since it’s almost dark when I get home too. I think maybe the two missing ones got up early and ventured out. If it was a predator that went inside I would probably be missing more than two.

I got Valbazen because I saw multiple recommendations for it and it is the only thing I heard that treats most kinds of worms, tape worms included. Hopefully it cures the problem. I will just have to keep a watchful eye on their poo to find out I guess.

Valbazen will treat tapeworms if feed is withheld for 24 hours, given higher doses, and redosed over several days. The better option is Equimax paste, the initial dose early in the morning before they eat, and another dose 10-14 days later....done.

Do I need to withhold their feed 24 hours before each dose? I will check my local feed store for equimax again. Didn’t see it last time, part of the reason I got the valbazen instead. If I find it, is it safe to intertwine/switch the two treatments or should I stick with what I already started (valbazen)?

The Equimax will be in the Equine section at your feed store. It's safe to go ahead and use the Equimax.
Valbazen is an excellent wormer getting rid of all types of roundworms, hang on to it for future use.
ALL wormers are more effective when feed is withheld for 24 hours. Withholding feed weakens worms making them more susceptible to the potency of the wormer.
Here's the dosage for Equimax in this link:

I forgot to add that after withholding feed for 24 hours, and then worming them, your birds will be very hungry. Wait at least 3 hours after worming before feeding them.
Then only feed them a little at a time, gradually increasing feed during the day back to normal feeding.
If you give them feed right after worming, they will gorge feed causing impacted crop. This is why you feed them sparingly at first, increasing feed in time.
