We have raised cornish cross before. White rock roosters were suggested to me, so I am going to try them this spring. What age would they be ready to butcher?

Thanks,

16-18 weeks, 20 weeks at the latest. I have a couple of White Rock roos and compared to the Orpingtons, Australorps, Wyandotes, etc., they are huge. (But they are still a DP chicken so don't expect them to fill out like a true meat bird.)

Cool. Thanks. I know that they are not the same as Cornish X. I am not expecting as large of breast meat.
