I have been hatching eggs from a friend's flock. She has barred rock hens and a white rock rooster. I expected a mix of barred and white chicks, or maybe all white. I have gotten barred, white, solid black, and now one partridge. Where in the world did the partridge come from? Just some sort of weird throwback?
