Greetings.
I own two Chinese chickens (small breed) and I am inquiring here as I have noticed white spots appearing on the comb of the rooster (see pics attached). Is that something I should be worried about ? What could be causing it ?

Some parts of the comb also used to be darker, I think the hen was pecking it. But that seems to have healed.

Welcome to BYC. What is your location? Is it winter there? The white could be healing peck wounds, dry winter skin or favus, a fungal infection. Miconazole cream daily can treat favus. The ear coloring with white spillage can be common in certain breeds.

I am in a tropical climate it is rainy season here with temperatures averaging 30 degrees Celsius.
Maybe its just old peck wounds as I mentioned the hen was pecking on him early on.
I'll investigate the fungus infection cream. Thanks for the tips.
