Hi everyone, I have a chicken that has hard white stuff all over it’s head. So the other day we had a raccoon or something get into coop, attacked a chicken and ate it. after this happened, we had one of the chickens that wouldn’t open one of its eye and wouldn’t eat, so we thought that it was just stressed out and scared because then it opened it eye after a few days and was eating and walking around. Now this happened and I’m not sure if it’s same chicken because they are all the same breed. Help me because I want to help my girl!

So that’s what I thought but she won’t move off of one the bars we have and no chicken can go above her. When I tried rubbing it off it is extremely hard and all in her feathers. I didn’t want to rub too hard because I didn’t want to hurt her if she is sick. Think I should??

It looks like dried infection (pus) to me, but a close-up picture wold help. Chicken pus looks like cottage cheese. I would imagine that, if allowed to dry, it would harden like what you describe. If it's pus, you'll need to get it ALL out of there for her to heal. If you press gently around the wound, the softer lumps should come out. The attached video shows treatment for Infectious Coryza, which isn't what your hen shows, but the pus treatment would be the same.
Good Luck!

I just posted a closer up picture!

I just watched the video - thank you for sharing! But it looks like with the video they have to have that big swelling bump and the chicken doesn’t have any bumps. I posted a picture zoomed in. Maybe I will try scrubbing and seeing if it comes off and hopefully it is just poop, not sure how it would’ve got on him but any other thoughts let me know!

Ok thank you everyone, I will try scrubbing it off of her. Hopefully it’s just the poop. Thanks guys!
