Well Whitey the White Pekin who gets egg-bound sat her nest for the first time and we have babies! The problem was the first one to hatch didn't make it, she either crushed, suffocated, or otherwise caused the loss of life in the first one. When I saw the little body I poked Whitey with a stick until she stood and up and saw three other eggs trying to hatch, one looked a bit flat, so I insulted her until she moved and I snagged those three and they finished hatching in the house.
On a good note, since the babies hatched the day of Charlie's funeral we've decided to keep the first one that hatched and name it after him.
