Whiting True Blue with big legs

As an update, we had our vet stop out to see our setup and birds.

She wanted us to treat for scaly leg mites first, as the big legged bird almost showed signs of it. Those treatments are complete now. She was hesitant to try more than that because of the entire flocks health. No respiratory issues anywhere, and nothing else seemed to be amiss. The bird with big legs still acts normal, eats normal, etc.

We're keeping a close eye on the birds and are supposed to follow up with the vet if anything changes. She said another option would be a "bird-o-gram" to look at the bones of the legs to see if they have abnormally grown. But beyond that, she made it sound like there wasn't much more than a necropsy to figure out whats going on here.

Does that all seem logical?
 
I have a chicken one time that had thick legs it lived for about 6 years until it was time for the freezer when I took a look at the legs they were just bigger bones it could just be a birth abnormality
