Two of my four girls have started laying. Someone is laying green eggs and I wasn’t expecting it! I know the Buff is laying because I have seen her and are the brown ones. I supposedly have a buff Orpington, lavender Orpington, and two black Australorp mixed, but the roosters for them were silkie and jersey giant. Unless the rooster was also mixed?I’m so confused on who could be laying these and what their breed may actually be.

I would guess that the bearded black hen is laying the green eggs.
I too would be willing to bet it's her! :highfive:

I know it's not relevant to blue egg genes.. but she also has a pea comb.. that coupled with the beard AND the green eggs indicates she is a *possible* Easter Egger.

Lovely eggs! :celebrate

Seems *unlikely* to be pure for Ameraucana.. but they are available at many hatcheries these days.. her skin looks white from what I can see.. and green is a shade of blue on the Ameraucana egg color scale..
