Does anyone have hogs? I am getting ready to take my hog to the fair, along with my chickens.[IMG] (wish me luck) Last year i had a blue butt (we won champion light weight barrow:D)and he didnt get very stained, but this year i got a yorkshire, and he just wont come clean.[IMG] Any hints?

I had a hog, but he was the guest of honor at our memorial day BBQ.
when it came time to wash him up. I just used soap and a soft scrub brush.
theres 1 web site that I found that recommends using a cold cream (let set for a few minutes) then wash with soap, water, and soft brush. they swear it takes the staines right off.
    Good luck

Good luck at the fair. I've never shown hogs, just raised them as breeders and then solder them to local farmers. So that way the sows will be used to people coming into their pens and wont freak out and smash a piglet or 2.

Because a Yorkshire is white...scrub him down real good and then right before the show put baby powder on him and it will help cover up the dirty spots you can't get clean.
