Pretty sure the yellow with the fluffy head is a crested but I have no idea who is best friend is that he is hiding behind. The black and yellow is the leader of the two and the self proclaimed protector of the fluffy head. He is smaller than the yellow. They are both about 4-5 days old.

He came from a hatchery and was bought at a feed store.

Hard to say. Crested isn't a breed though. It could be a crested Pekin, crested Runner, crested this that or the other

Kind of rhymes

X2 on swedish or possible Magpie.

Crested Pekin was what I was leaning toward. Not runner for sure. Can any breed be crested? The little black and yellow one has a tiny fluff on his head but not really sure if he is just fluffy that way or now I am thinking he is the crested this that or the other.

Yes any breed besides muscovy has the potential to be crested. Are you planning on breeding them at all?

I guess if one is a boy and one is a girl there is potential for babies as I won't separate.

Yes, any breed can be crested (thats what I meant before) didn't really mean for runner to be a possible breed just came to me in my rhyme

But honestly, the yellow does stand upright, at least in the pic, and it does look to be two-toned. But, I always say, it is hard to tell from pics.

A little more time will give a lot of help. I hope they are not both crested if you want babies in the future (if they are a male and female you would get VERY few hatchlings, crests are a lethal gene)

If they are both crested breeding them together would be a very very bad idea

I liked your rhyme. You have talent.

Very sad to hear about the crested genes. But may work in my favor then as I really don't know what to do with the 2 ducks I have let alone future babies. Hoping they are both boys or girls.
