who are we

D'Uccles, D'Anvers, Sultans, Ameraucanas, Crevecoeurs, Houdans, Faverolles, and Easter Eggers all have beards/muffs, as do some Silkies and Polish. Of those, D'Uccles and Faverolles are the only ones with feathered legs and a single comb. These girls look like they have heavily feathered legs and fairly decent single combs. I can see where Cochin x D'Uccle would give the coloration and the features previously pointed out. Now, if they have extra toes, then I would lean toward Faverolle x Cochin.

Thank you every one, they do seem to have a bit of cochin in them. There feet are very heavily feathered but not got 5 toes (though they do seem to have an extra tiny little stump!) I have had to bath their boots already due to everything getting clogged in them and we havent had any damp weather to speak of!! I have only just started with hens but dont see the araucana as the farmer had got me one of them as I would have liked a lavender however when we went to pick up the girls it was a little aggresive with my children and they wouldnt have her (she was exceptionally pretty)!

I will go with a cochin cross as the girls bums are shaped a little like the cochin having spent hours and hours looking on the internet. I had wondered if they had been crossed with a frizzle gene as apparently 25% of frizzles have smooth coats and their boots are really wild

The boys called them bubble and squeak and they are so freindly and have proved to be excellent in the pen, they started off been really hen pecked and I thought I was going to have build them a seperate pen however they now seem to accept they are bottom of the pecking order and every one is getting on quite well (they never go hungry and the boys spoil them)
