Who can reply last on this thread?

To...to eat??!!! Oh jeez. How do you manage to eat birds you’ve raised?im not judging of course it’s just a skill I definitely lack lol. I eat meat and can appreciate knowing where it comes from but knowing them as chicks would make it hard for me I think.I think if the world ended and I couldn’t go to the grocery store, I’d eat salad for a bit before the chickens were considered dinner lol. I’m sure if it came down to it I could. But I get attached to everything. :rolleyes:

Big Red (my avatar) will relocate to the next coop down the road, just as soon as one of my Redrock Cross roos matures. As much as I'll miss him, he'll be playing house with 17 RIR hens. 4 of 5 of my 'teenagers' are roosters. I have 6 chicks in the brooder and 6 eggs in the incubator. Do I want to eat my chickens? Heck no! Any ideas what else I can do?
