I've had plenty that crowed before 8 weeks.

One of these four crowed yesterday. Any ideas on who it may have been??

I don't know which one from the pictures, but cockerels seem most likely to crow in the morning, so if you're able to watch them one morning you might be able to catch him in the act. (Or them, if more than one have learned to crow.)

I know nothing about silkies, so I can't comment about them.
