Who else is hatching at this very moment

Me too!!! Day 21, and out of 9 Silkie eggs, 5 have hatched, and I see one pip. So excited!!! My first hatch.

4 dzn in, mixed groups of pbreds...3 hatched and several pipped! This is day 21 for some and 20 for others. I locked down at 18 1/2...It is sooooo hard to sit on my hands. I have watched them and watched them and thought nothing was going to happen. The need to open and candle was huge! I didn't do it, though and awoke at 2 am to a loud chirping as my first had hatched. Now there are 3 or 4 in there and more pipped. I ran humidity at 45 through the 18th day and bumped it to 57 for the hatch. Temp has been right at 99.5 the whole time. Yay!!

2 pips!!!!

Nice to see so many enjoying the same hobby at the same time. Thanks for commenting and hapy hatching.

I have eight eggs in the bator. Five hours ago was 21 full days and 3 pipped bang on time. No further progress at all since then but I'm not worried. I've recently hatched two batches of these chicks and they all manage fine by themselves. So I just ignore them and let them do their thing. Humidity is rock steady at just a hair over 75% and the water tray is full so I'm going to go to bed in the next hour and I'm sure I'll have at least two out by the morning. Oh, they're all Marsh Daisys.
