I asked because I'm thinking of getting an invisible fence for my bichon. She is a ninja dog and likes to sneak off when no one is looking.

My eggs are still doing well, I added 11 more that I brought from a local store, the owner said he brought them from a local lady. I thought I'd try my luck, cracked one open at home and I'm pretty sure it was fertile! Even if they're not, it's a cheap experiment, and if I get chicks even better!!!

Would like to see those bob pics too

People resell underground systems all the time because they don't work for a majority of dogs. Much of the time the dog they bought it for died after bolting through it and not wanting to come back.

Cannot tell you the number of dogs reclaimed from our shelters who had invisible fences.

On some dogs they work. For the majority they do not. Can you put up the low (12 inch) high e net fencing for keeping bunnies and other things that can't jump, out?

That would be better it comes in green and you can take it with you if you move and move it if you need to at any time easily.

Need a BYC fix!...on the road heading back home after our big "steal" on chicken stuff. Long day....

The ones that are out are now in the new brooder! I am hoping for a few more to hatch.
So here are a bunch of pictures. Not good ones but the best I could grab fast. That horrid looking brown and green is the grow gel with ground feed added to it.

12 inch netting wouldn't work. We have a fenced area for the chickens that I put her in sometimes and she can just about jump over the 4 foot section of it. I'm not sure if I should start a new thread for this...

I just candled eggs at 8 days, and some have really big air cells, like 30% of the egg, but otherwise look like pics of normal 8 day embryos.
If they were in a 'bator, from what I'm reading, they'd need more humidity. Under a hen, can/should anything be done?

Will try to get pics tomorrow. *blush* need to take some glasses out there too!

Farrier - look at all those babies! Very darling. Maybe we will do quail next year. Hmmmm.


Laurieks - there is no way to raise the humidity under a broody. They usually know what they are doing. I wonder why the air cells are so big?

I'm excited about my buttons! I'm expecting an overload of adorable with them. I expect the cortunix to be cute too, just cute in a not-so-tiny way.

I'm trying to talk my DH into buying me a peacock door. (Found it at Home Depot... cost aroung $1200 or something just for the door, itself.) I have 2 stained glass pieces that are peacocks, but the door would be perfect.

2txmedics - Good luck with that new 'bator. This will probably be my last hatch until spring. You'll have to let me know when you're hatching next year & I'll set a bunch with you!
