Who else is setting... I wanna see pics!

Congrats!!!! How cute, this is why we do it and this is why its worth the wait, to see something so beauitful, so natural...this is the true beauty of life....

Right, theres no cheeping or rocking or piping from the 5 eggs I have in my 'bator. Should they be doing something? Its day 22 for them (feels like year 22 for me).

The four that have hatched 52hours ago are all over the bator. Im going to take them out.
I will leave the eggs another 2 days then im going to throw in the towel.

Seth, hello, so how many so far did hatch??? sorry was gone yesterday....mine are pipping and rocking since yesterday night at 9pm...still nothing here.

Just noisey bator now...

started with13 , then i took out 4 duds. Out of the 9 4 have hatched, 1 white orp, 1 partridge orp, 1 gold laced orp and 1 leghorn x.

But as i said that was 52 hrs ago and what I thought was movement was busy chicks pushing them all over the place!
Im going to use a carton next time.

I just had to make my broody leave the coop with her chick. She, like the rest of us, is addicted to hatching and wants more than one chick. She keeps taking her lone chick and nest stealing with it. The poor chick wants to get out and walk around.

Silly bird.

Seth - I would get those chicks out and give them some water. They are definately ready.

I applaud your patience leaving the bator shut for so long

2txmedics-good luck with your hatch. Im hoping that you do a little better than me, I know theres a little more time but Im thinking that when I opened the bator to save the x x from drowning I didn't do it quick enough. I took less than 2 mins but its probably ruined the others chances.

Thanks for the pics!
Don't you just love the quail? I think they are great. I can't believe I didn't hatch them any sooner!
And those silkies! Beautiful color! It looks like you got some quality chicks, there!
I have yet to hatch with a broody. Maybe next year one of my silkies will go broody.
I just have the 7 cortunix eggs left, 2 of which are pipped.
Well, also my 9 (really 8) chicken eggs. Thay are in cartons in the hatcher. The ducks & quail are still in the 'bator in the turner.
