Who else is setting... I wanna see pics!

Wheaton blue what? That is such a pretty color on ameraucanas, but I think Marans also come in wheaton.

If you set your eggs before noon, count that as the first day. If you set them in the afternoon, count the next day as day one.

ahhhh, Joy...Those are for me also, dont forget...lol, we wanted to do a trade for Jewels eggs...

I'm not sure.. what day are you on?

I'll see if I can take a pic tonight. This was a silkie egg that I was given and it was also in the bator that was hit by the sun light with 1/2 officially dead 1 day later. I was hopeful for the bigger eggs (seramas and the smaller Bantam Araucana eggs were the first casualties) since I reasoned that they maybe didn't hit the higher temp as fast and were returned to normal temps before damage was done but I don' t know.

Updates to follow.

The "grey cloud" is most likely the yolk you're seeing. I don't know about the "white spots" - I don't know if you are referring to spots on the inside of the shell? If there are white spots on the inside of the shell & all you see is the shadow of the yolk, then you have a porous egg that probably isn't going to develop.
Sorry.

I tried to upload a 20 second video of the duck embryo that I candled last night. It's very easy to see moving around. But I can't get it to upload.

ETA: had to edit a sentence so it would make sense!

They went in on the 18th of August which makes today day 14. I was planning on putting them in the hatcher today. I'm just making sure that I have the humidity okay as we 'speak'.

I'm super nervous and excited. Aren't we all? I sure I'll always be, first hatch or not!

Does the grey cloud move when you turn the egg? Did you smell the eggs? Grey clouds to me sound like a bad egg, but silkie eggs are hard for me to candle.
