Upon closer inspection, one side is normal (hip and foot) the other side is not (hip and foot). At the hip the leg goes out instead of down and the foot itself is bend inwards.... any thoughts?

Since it's a quail these are VERY little feet! I don't have vet tape could I use cheap scotch tape or not since it doesn't breathe?

It sounds like spraddle leg. Take a band-aid and cut it in half lengthwise. Use the gauze portion as the spacer between the feet, then tape each side around an 'ankle'. This should straighten them out, but you have to leave it on there for a few days at least.

Ok its officially 10 eggs for me. Could see moving chicks in all of them and two clears. Now I have to look on here to see what day I set them.

Humidity is a little low but the temp has been holding rock solid at 99.5. Not bad for a styrofoam hovabator.

farrier! :

I had to look on here to see when I set my Buttons.....

Glad I am not the only one!
I might have the Tn quail hatching.. or at least one.

I feel the same way! lol.

Just three little quail. No more pips or movement so far from the rest but it's not over yet. I had to add 5 Maransacauna and 1 EEXRIR eggs today so the hatcher is getting full! Can't wait though... and so another round of anxiety begins!!

I took my turner out last night late. got up this morning and it was several degress cooler inside... so i upped it a notch, so with my luck ill come home and it will be 10 degrees hotter. thats how its gone for me. But im guessing in a few days i should be good to go.
As far as taking the turner out, i dont have to do anytihng else to them? Humidity is around 55-65% right now...

What are you hatching again? Call me crazy but from what I gather, there is a huge humidity debate...big time. Since my first hatch ever was yesterday I don't know if I'm one to be giving advice

Here's a link to the BYC incubation chart..

I did between 60-70% for my coturnix quail and also it's set to that now for my chickens

Good Luck!!

Hmmm
Ill have to try and get the humidity up. lol. I have a LEAK somewhere in the bottom of my incubator... but i guess that means alittle more filling every day.

And i have a mix of RIR eggs, some others im not sure of, and i had bought 6 white crested polish, but 3 of them didnt make it this far so Hopefully two hens and a roo will come out of those. lol. I had originally bought 6 polish, but the lady i bought them from said she was tossing in extra since this was my first hatch and i didnt really have a flock so she gave an extra 34 eggs lol
