Oh this is getting too much! I want my babies. Im sooo impatient. Im like this when Im pregnant, I love it and cant take it all at the same time!

All this pipping, zipping and hatching of fuzzy butts has made ME broody. Though Im not sat on straw and pecking anyone who comes near me!!

My eggs are due to hatch on the 9th, after that I think Im going for a smooth butt. Baby no.5 God willing

I have now decided I like adding Coturnix quail as they are laid. Went to turn eggs today (turned them at midnight) and had three faces looking at me. Coturnix seem to hatch no matter what the humidity and the fact that I kept turning them. Helps out with the waiting for the chicken eggs.

Here I am, day 16. No button pips yet. No cortunix pips yet. One more night of work.
I'm gonna go to bed. Maybe when I wake up this afternoon, I'll have some quail pips.
If the buttons take 16 days, today's the day. If cortunix take 18, I'll be pretty busy all week because my chicken chicks usually hatch on day 19.

Well i have one baby screaming in the Incu. and 4 more that seem to of stopped... but they are still alive. Just not very active...
Guess ill check on them after church and see what the easter bunny dropped off while i was gone. lol

Well, 2 out of 5 eggs made it! One still in bator...

Now it's hurry up and wait for the 9th and the other 9!

Im going to start working on a brooder box i guess. lol...

Now that I have the new incubator and hatcher, I'm not really sure when to expect them to hatch.
With my old LG, chicken chicks usually pipped on day 19 and hatched on day 20 & 21.
I'm still waiting on a pip from these buttons.
It's driving me crazy that these eggs aren't doing anything. I hope they don't hatch while I'm at work tonight! That gives them about 8 hours to do something. If they don't pip in 8 hours, they're gonna have to "hold it" until I get home from work in the morning.
2 more days until I move my chicken chicks to the hatcher. I'm really looking forward to the Salmon Faverolles... only 2 made it through the shipping ordeal, so they better hatch.
I'm going to go tell these buttons to start hatchin'

You most likely won't see any pips, you'll just be sitting there and here a 'coo, coo, coo' sound coming from the bator. You'll be thinking 'what in the world??' and go to find that you have baby buttons!

Be patient, like I said many people are having them hatch later than normal this time of year.

Hi Pagen and All,I m still waiting and watching like everyone else,
today is Day 16 so lockdown for me will also be the 9 and take the whole turner put down pantry lay.
I have I think 2 viable but the rest I dont see much. So tomorrow
will
check again for the last time. Should have something on the 11- 12.. then its clean'up and clean'out and make room for the
ameraucans .. ahhh and start all over..
