Who else is waiting for that first egg?

7 month old Golden laced Wyandotte still not laying, she is also the lowest in pecking order, not sure if that is a contributing factor?

Thank you everyone..... Now I hope she starts laying in the nesting boxes... our first egg was in the corner on the floor in the hen house.... I have a lot that are squatting so I know one day I'll have a bunch in there one day....lol

Just popped in to see I am not the only one who is inpatient for that first egg. First time raising chickens, they're 5 months old today... I am so afraid that they will lay their first eggs only in the spring, since the days are getting shorter and darker...argh

Mine will lay in spring first because there not laying but should be in December I think

I got my 2nd egg today, it was laid in the same place the other one was, on the floor in the hen house in the corner... I'm hoping for a few more, really soon.... Rae
