Who else is waiting for that first egg?

Waiting is the worse! My or is 20 weeks but my others are only 10 weeks, hopefully I'll get an egg soon. I'm glad someone comments about the waddle getting more red. It's dark out but I want to go wake her and check her color! L OK!

My hens are 18-20 weeks along (12 Leghorns + 3 RIR).
Many of them have the redder combs and wattles and have grown in size hee past two weeks and my two roosters are acting "froggy" ( you know interested in the hens).
I'm hoping all this means eggs are getting close.

I envy those getting eggs at 16 weeks since eggs went up to $5 (cheap) to $7 (organic) a dozen at the grocery store here.

One of my black sexlink laid her first egg today. I watched her from the window (she couldnt see me of course) she was clucking and carrying on...went in and out of the nesting box several times. I finally got tired of waiting and went in the house. Went back out a hour later and there in the box was her first egg!!! Now I have two laying. One of my white leghorns has laid 3 days in a row now. I have 4 total. Just enough for breakfast for me and my husband tommorrow!! This is more exciting than I ever imagined!!
