who else raises mountain quails here?!

I like my 12 gauge with turkey shells, or a 38. That or my new Marlin 22, semi auto long rifle. That's for coons, for coyotes and foxes I use a 30-30, 223 or my bow. I use the Duke leg traps and i have 2 havahearts, but they usually get malled by a coyote.

now a 10 guage ithica semi auto can break your finger when you press the little button thingy and use 3.5 inch turkey loads. Trust me you'll be deaf after about 10 shots in a row if you could, thats why we can only keep 3 shells in a gun here in pa hahahaaha and that gun can kick

To others who raise (or have raised) Mountain Quail: what are their typical laying habits? This is my first year raising them so I'm not sure what to expect.
How long do the hens typically lay for (i.e. March to July etc) and how many eggs do they normally produce per year? I've got 3 males and 3 females together in an aviary as a colony and they began laying 14 days ago – since then I’ve collected a total of 29 eggs from them. Not sure if that's below or above average and also not sure how long to expect them to keep laying for and I haven't found a whole lot of solid info on it online so I was hoping others with Mountains could share their experiences. Thanks!
