Victor 1.75's, mb550's, or even duke 1 3/4 fixes it pretty often around here....
 
I raise mountains, they are very nice birds ,but not for a beginner. they take alot more care than other quail. I also raise african harliquin,peach golden and lady amherst pheasants

I use a 1 1/2 coil spring most days and after I " hug" them a bit it is quiet permanent
