Who had "Illegal" pets in college?

I had Lovebirds, hamsters, a dog and fishtanks, but I lived in an apartment at the time. I have a BS in Animal Science - what did they expect?

In high school I kept one of my mice in my locker.... I would carry it with me to school everyday and put it in a cage when I got to school. She ended up having babies b-4 I went home....

I also have taken my baby birds to work... with out anyone knowing. Like parakeets & Zebra Finches that I was handraising. They would be in my pocket or a fanny pack.... they would chirp and I would pretend it was a text message.....

OP, you said you thought a rabbit would be too smelly for an apartment? My bun is litter box trained and I just use Woody Pet (Like Feline Pine) in the box. I change it out twice a week and there is never any odor.
