Who has a foodsaver? Is it worth it? Do you like it?

RCL - Fleet Farm is a chain store here in the midwest. It's actually my favorite store. It's like Lowe's or Home Depot, only with Sporting Goods and a lot more yard & farm-related stuff. It's got everything. They call it the "Man's Mall".

I had heard from my cousin that they have good deals on their version of Foodsaver bags.

Thanks!

I have one, it worked well until the foam seal ripped.
I'd suggest looking at Goodwill or similar before paying full price. I got bags at WalMart that worked well.

Last time I used it to store and reheat fondue for a wedding. Just heat in a pot of hot water, and it's good to go.

Interesting topic and reviews! I am tired of freezer burns on my meats no matter how much air I tried taking out even with straws LOL!

That is something I would save up for. Are they terribly expensive?

OMG yes. Couldn't live without it and I'm on my third one. Do not buy used - invest the money in a new one and you can't go wrong - doesn't even matter what model you buy (but aim mid to high range if possible).

How long do they last if they are expensive??????
