Who has a walk in coop?

I have an 8x8 walkin coop. The run is short but, I covered it for the winter in heavy plastic and tarps so it wouldn't fill with snow and is protect more from the weather.

I really wish we would see some of that green stuff in this photo! I'm tired of white!

I have a walk-in hen house/feed room/coop. I confess I can't take credit for the building. When my in-laws bought this property back in 1965, they moved the existing hen house from another area of the property. When DH and I bought it in '05, we put a new roof on the building and a completely new outdoor run/coop area. This isn't the best pic of the building, but.....

A year later, we added the 'expansion' on (because for some strange reason, one day there were 5 more chickens, then another day 6 more, then.......well, you know how that goes! LOL). The expansion was added onto the back of the run.

We just built a coop that is 30x48 or so, and the roof is slanted 7ft at the front down to 6ft in the back. We divided the coop into two sections because it was so hug. I LOVE mine. There is a door on the front then one in the middle and then one on each end of the coop where we are going to build massive runs this spring. I'll try to post a pic later. Oh yeah, we built it completely out of scraps and stuff out of the garbage pile. The only thing we bought was the rafters to hold up the roof.

I do.

It needs work. It's only 8'x8' which I think is too small, for the birds I have or I should say want to have. It's tall which makes up for it. I'm adding more little coops here and there for breeding but this is the main one where all the layers and Hiro lives. The siding still needs to go up...I have it just a matter of putting it on.

(That's my DD lugging around one of the hens, I think the Australorp.) This is about a couple of months after we built it. I love that I can get in the run, too. I'll have to rework the door into the run, it's not very good. The front door we ended up splitting in half so we could have the top part open and the chickens can get out but the goats can't get in. Anyway, it's not half bad considering neither one of us has great carpentry skills.

I have an 8X12' coop, with concrete floor. We built it 3 1/2 years ago. I'll try to take some pics this afternoon. I added a little feed room on the inside, will also use it as a place for a broody hen eventually.

Okay, here are the pics. Kind of messy, haven't done spring cleaning yet.
