He looks fine to me! Lots of milk will fix it. Babies aren't born fat!

I am so looking forward to seeing what this little guy does. His mom and dad have awesome dispo's, looks and smarts.

I remember a phrase about assessing a foal: "3 days, 3 months, and 3 years." At 3 days, he's pretty much done "unfolding." At 3 months, he will have fattened up and filled out. There may be some pretty awkward growth stages during years 1 and 2, but it should all balance out by age 3.
Pretty good markers. I will keep that in mind while I keep my eye on him. Especially the 1-2.

Foot sore/ lame/ need the vet out! Sad, really.

That’s what I thought too! Glad it’s not just me! I don’t know a ton about horses so I wasn’t sure if there was actually anything wrong or not but it just looked very “off” to me. Like something was very wrong/off with her and I could just tell. She also seemed to be somewhat in pain or very stiff/slow about it. Very sad indeed. :( I hope they have since called the vet out or sold her to someone who can have her checked out.

I wondered why anyone would ride her in that condition too. If that's her best right then, not so hot.
I do have problems watching 'Western Pleasure' horses, who look like that a lot, or at least used to. Haven't watched them in years.

Yeah, I wonder that too. Either they don’t know or don’t care. Not sure which is worse. :(

And yeah, I wondered if it was the riding style or if something was wrong with her.

Flame suit on!

I feel the same way!!
