Thanks so much for your detailed absolutely hysterical account, allsardane! I was really wanting even more of the personality quirks of your chicks - I'm so sorry for your experience with the post office - We have a small one out here in the country and they were more than cooperative knowing that my little guys were arriving. They arrived May 11 and have already almost wiped out a bumper crop of grasshoppers that had desimated the vegetable garden and many of my perennials. If nothing else, McMurrays' chicks sure know how to hunt.

I got 3 Rhode Island Reds and 3 White Leghorns. 2 of the leghorns passed.... rookie mistakes though. Love the surviving chickens!
