Who has Pekins?

I am getting a 'group' of Pekins tomorrow! They are a year old, and are freindly I'm told. Can anyone tell me anything else I should know about them??

i have eggs in the bator due in 3 weeks, my neighbor has them and the eggs came from him and they sure are good layers of huge eggs, but they're kinda loud when they want to be

I'm getting two Pekin ducklings next week and I cannot wait!!!!

They are very intelligent. They can get to know their names, come when called and do tricks (like give hugs, etc.).

I'm so excited to get them! And I'll probably save the eggs and try and hatch em!!!

I LOVE MY PEKIN! she is the best ever. she loves hugs, love eating feeder goldfish, quacks very LOUD VERY VERY LOUD, lays HUGE eggs!! very content and always happy. she is my baby and i wish i could clone her! hahaha this is her:

I don't mind giving them a shot with incubating. I couldn't keep all the ducklings, but maybe I could get a couple bucks for em...

Pekins are great though - mine is such a character. The cutest thing is, in the Fall, we rake up piles of leaves and throw them in the duck runs; all the other ducks dabble around the edges of the piles, but my Pekin promptly walks right into the middle of the leaf pile and plops down in her new, massive nest!
