I have 2 pekin ducks, a duck and a drake. have had them for 7+years and the drake is at LEAST 7+ years(probably more). drakes quack and ducks(hens?) honk. indeed the drake has a curled feather.am going to pick up some unsexed adults(I will know the sex when I meet them but the owner does not) because my female is lame and I want to have companions for the drake when she has to go. she (for all of her adult life) has only sat on the eggs occassionally during the day and she lays nests anywhere she can hide(weeds,compost,barn stall)

I have two Pekin's about 5 weeks old they spent their first night outside in their new coop last night. Did great, they are so much fun, but messy!!!

We are getting two this week, we hope to hide them from our daughters so that they can THINK the Easter Bunny brought them to them although they are really for DH as he has fell in love with them at TSC lol We are trying to figure out what to feed, how much, when etc... lol
