Wow there goes my positivity vibes from this website.

Sorry but we are honest on here and none of us have anything good to say about prefabs. They are built out of subpar materials, not secure, poor ventilation, undersized for the birds they claim they hold, and overpriced.

Most backyard chicken owners see their birds as only pets so they want the best quality of life for the birds and are only looking out for the best for your birds.

ik but at the time i needed a coop bc my 4-month meaties were out of room in their brooder and i was tired of having to wake up at 6 and take them out of the brooder to put them in a fenced-in area where they could run around

Exactly. My husband built our barn for our horses so he can build or add on to my coop. I wanted to make sure I had at least something for the them.

well this is the coop that they use and live in now but if your husband is gonna add on to it then i think it'll be fine

There is a small run that came with the coop that I have not attached yet and they will be able to free range behind an acre of chain link fence. I do understand about the vents and I am not finished yet. This is why I was looking for the person that had the same coop.

Since you husband can make a barn for horses, I am sure he'll be able to make modification to your coop when they are needed.

I just looked, it's very similar. They started their chicks in it and once they got too big, they modified it and made it bigger.

Really isn't hard a tons of well thought out designs on here to borrow ideas from.

Not always that simple I suck at building anything! I can look at designs on BYC for hours, practice, and still strip screws!
