So many beautiful roosters! This guy is a 4 1/2 month old Delaware Broiler.

He’s not very colorful or flashy, but I like the looks of him.

Unfortunately, he threatened my 2-year old granddaughter the other day. He is now resting in pieces in my fridge, waiting for his place on the table as the guest of honor for supper tomorrow night. I have three one month old chicks running around. Hopefully one is a cockerel and will be a keeper.

I'm entering Penelope into the handsome rooster contest. He has a girl name because we thought he was a girl. He's a gorgeous Speckled Sussex that is nice, so far. He really looks after the hens (the ones that let him anyhow). When the sun starts going down, he stands on top of the coop until all the girls are in safely (2nd photo).
