I would like to get a general view of who has house birds (aka parrots, doves, finches, canaries ect) I have 1 umbrella cockatoo and 1 lustino cockatiel. My mom has had 3 cockatiels including our current one and I have had a sun conure RIP mango and my current cockatoo who is 23 years old. So share pics and chat.

I posted this on this section because many people never check the caged bird section.

This is Tango!

I voted "no, don't want one," but I love house birds and enjoy others'! My son wants a Conure. He is in talks with a rescue organization a few states over. I'm excited for him, and I hope it works out!

And I do kinda have house birds if you count my special needs chickens and the 2 ducklings who will be moving outside this weekend (if all goes well).

I'm glad your sons getting a conure. They are wonderful but beware they are loud. Mine was a sun conure. When he gets one post pics!

I told him they are loud - lol! He's had his heart set on one for a long time. And I'm glad he's rescuing one. Probavly was surrendered because of how loud it is.

Yes rescue is the best! People always buy birds then realize that they are alot of work and don't want them anymore. Both my birds are rescues. I will only rescue now and won't buy.

This is Tweaky (parrotlet) peering from his perch on a towel. He likes to poop on the towel, adjoining wall, and occasionally the nearby shower curtain. He knows lots of words and various whistles! He likes apples, but only red apples, not green ones.
