Thank you, Momagain1, for your lovely thought in starting this thread. My DH is a retired nuclear submariner. I will certainly keep your brother in my prayers, as I do all who serve our great country to preserve our freedom. Thank him for all of us who appreciate his service, and that goes for all of you with active duty family members.

I retired from the Navy in 1992. Many family members of mine have military service.

I served for six years, my husband 21 years with serving in Vietnam ( married an older man) and two sons served and fought in Afghanistan with one getting seriously wounded but alive! We are a military family.
