Who here is an actual farmer?

I'm trying to be a farmer, but we don't rake paper

Only thing we have to rake right now is poop out of the coop and fallen leaves. We have a good bit of animals considering we just started up last year, but we aren't where we want to be just yet. It's going to be a long process. I can't wait for Spring and a MASSIVE garden with everything!!

I guess it depends on what you think an actual farmer is? Ours does not support us....yet. So we both have day jobs then come home to spend a 3 hours or more in the evening "farming" . And of course all weekend is farming. We have a big garden and lots and lots of poultry. Some day maybe we can quit our day jobs and become full time farmers but not until everything is paid off and we are living debt free. Also most there but not quiet.

I grew up on a 30 acre farm in germany. We had cattle, pigs, chickens,a duck and cats. We grew wheat, corn, potatos, our own hay and feed beets . We had a pond full with about 120 carps, a garden full of veggies and my grandpa's brother had aold van with a few bee hives out with us. We also had a few acres of forrest. We sold everything when my grandpa died back in 89. The last calf that was born in our barn died because it was breech and too big. Other than that life was good.

I grew up on a farm. I no longer live on one, but still practice farming ways when it comes to keepng my rabbits and pigeons.
