It's junebugs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! or close enough. The scare the b-geeses out of me, seriously, will put me in a fetal position under the bed quicker then any bug out there.

Thems is not june bugs.. Thems is japanese beetles

and they are much much worse than june bugs but your chickens don't know the difference. I used to hold my pet roo up and he'd clean up and entire rose of sharon bush in a half hour. We didn't have much going on when we were kids

My father sprinkled "milky spore" around under the rose of sharon bushes (jap beetle magnets) and every year they decreased in population until we don't get a single one... I hope they come up with something like that for the stink bugs.

They already have a cure for Stink Bugs, msbear. It's called Guinea Fowl. We had tons of them, even in the house. Guineas started free-ranging and haven't seen one in months. Now they are working hard on the grass hoppers. This spring they were busy getting ticks. Only found a few on our dogs, and it was a bad tick year too.

Love my Gunieas. Just hatched out some Chocolate, Pewter and Lavender Pied this week. So cute.

Do guineas really get rid of ticks? I run around the property barefoot or in flipflops all the time and I usually avoid the ticks pretty well, but I've gotten a couple this year. The little suckers bite hard.
