I posted this topic late last night and had to go to bed right after, so I just saw it all the new posts now.

WOW! I'm so amazed at the wonderful photos y'all have taken.
It seems there's quite the variety of photographers on here, from hobbyists to professionals. I'd love to hear (or, read) your methods. Right now I'm really trying to focus on setting the shot up more rather than taking 200 pictures and just picking my favorites. I tried this with my chickens, but they don't hold still very well, so I'm going to try it with the horses this weekend. I'm already excited.

Are y'all more into still life's, like scenery, or shots with movement and living creatures? I think still lifes are easier to take and set up, but they're only so... filling?

And then something with more movement-

I wish I could fix the coloring/lighting on some of these. Oh well.

Aw! The silkie momma, that is a wonderful picture!
I also really like all these sunset scenes you guys have captured. So pretty. I've attempted to get the 'cotton candy' clouds but I have a puny little camera, so I don't have anything worth showing really. If I had a decent camera, I'd be very much into photography.

I have a Canon Rebel XTi...i think, lol. Been into photography for like five years, but didn't start taking better pics til like 3 years ago. I took a class in highschool I liked, but the one in college was more on history..and like symbolic meaning a photo can have and not how to use setting and set stuff up..

This pic was really a snapshot...but I love it!

I think I did flip it horizontal in photoshop..maybe, I don't remember. It has nice leading lines to the center of the photo.

I like this photo..because I've always liked the woodsy or foresty looking photos, and I actually managed to take one like that lol

This photo was taken in summer..and I think that is a Zinnia flower that is blooming. I love how it looks sparkly.
