Who here is into Photography?

Yes, you take one shot, it gives you 2 other shots. My instructor recommended it when it's getting dark, it automatically adjusts shutter speed (if I recall right), giving you one faster and one slower than your setting.

For example, just looked at one group.. I set my camera to aperature priority then sat aperature at f/5.6, ISO 800 The camera adjusts the shutter speed as necessary, in the series of one shot, one photo shutter speed was 1/10, one at 1/13 and one at 1/8.

Not sure if I explained that very well, like I said... rank amateur here!

I have a zoom bracketing mode, I didnt try it last night, might have to do it tonight and see what happens lol. I used all three of my color settings last night and several different camera settings, some are better than others at one thing or another. Was unhappy with the night setting black and whites but pretty happy with the auto black and whites, I didnt feel like fooling with the manual settings when i had just gotten off the night shift and only got about 5 1/2 hours of sleep the day before LOL.

I wasn't able to get out to take any pics of it but I have enjoyed seeing everybody's pic of it . Good job everyone!

peewee, last spring break we rented a RV and went to Lake Louise, what a pretty place! Got some great pics down there.

Maggie, good luck I had the Nikon book all along, as long as you know about shutter speed and aperature I think you'll be able to make heads or tails out of it. I couldn't, it had been to long and back when I took photography in HS we had Brownie cameras (instructor thought we should learn the basic basics! LOL Back then I read all the magazines and stuff, but never had a good 35mm to practice on so it made little sense. Good luck!

Here are a few other pictures I have taken. My d50 is messed up, it does a dark line across the bottom. I wonder if the shutter is sticking or something. I am getting a d90 soon though, so no need to fix this one!

babyrnlc, I love the pic of the little one on the beach. That is just precious!!!

Just some that I took today.

dkvart1, look who showed up today! I saw this little guy and thought of your photo. We normally do not get toads. We usually get the green tree frogs so I was very surprised to find this little one on my walk out to the bird pens:

peewee, thanks for sharing! You really do take wonderful pics.

I especially like the one of the little fluffy seedling among the rocks, it just glistens! And of course I love the toad, we have literally hundreds of them in our complex!

And we do get the cute little green tree frogs as well, have one that loves to sit just outside our office window at night, but I haven't seen any yet this year. I have to be carefully when taking my min schnauzer out, he was a "street dog" for years in Tennesee and I think he used to dine on toads when hungry, cuz he loves to try to get them (and yes has eaten a couple of the smaller ones before I knew what happened!
