who in ny have quail???

well i guess it won't be on the DL if i tell you i have some. so anyway, after i found out about the permit, i was wondering if i would still get some. i was just wondering who out there has them and do you have a permit or just trying your luck??????

Over here in CT we need a permit to raise, sell, or release. I'm not
sure if we need one to just raise for personal consumption of meat,
eggs or just for pets.


Quite frankly, I couldn't give a darn either way. I have my quail and
I'm keeping them and I'm not putting my name on some government
list because I have a few dozen quail in my barn.

we do need one even if i don't do a thing with them. i wanted to check them out and my dh would eat some. i almost died when i found out we needed a permit. i search and found that we didn't .being it is $100 for 5 yrs, i think.

I agree with PC....as much as i love my quail, if say PA changed their laws, they can just eat it because lol im NOT getting rid of my quail and im NOT stopping doing what i enjoy (breeding/selling etc).

They can just shush! LOL!

On my post I made about coturnix quail care, I have info up of the states I KNOW for sure need or dont need permits, however I'd still happily sell hatching eggs to people in the states that need permits and don't have them, who am I to refuse these wonderful lil guys to them. Main raeson I posted the state info (for anyone who looks at it) is to make people aware of who may need to keep stuff on the DL he he!

I say keep getting them if you love them it's not like you're releasing them.

Theres actually a supplier on this site (in the ads uptop) that sell a small coop for chickens that looks ilke a garbage can thing..it's pretty nifty...it's to make people not realise you have chickens...could be use for quail tooi bet
