Who is going to lay first?

Here are some pictures of my girls taken at 15 weeks. They are now 17 weeks old. Who do you think will lay first?

They are georgious!!!! Its funny, cause two of my hens are called Shirley and Annie!!!
I'd say shirley or Ari, by how their combs are looking...but I could be wrong

Looks like Annie to me, but none of them look like they're close (sorry) so that could change. You will be amazed how all of a sudden the combs/wattles get RED and developed and then a week or two later...

Annie looks like she has the most red in her comb, then Amy, but I thought Leghorns like Shirley were supposed to mature faster.

I'm going to guess Shirley, the Leghorn. I just got 3 White Leghorns and they are machines! I read where they mature the fastest and eat the least while producing the most eggs. I read that on some hatchery site.

I'm going to check out my BO's comb tomorrow. They started getting red a couple weeks ago and I swear that one of them laid an egg on the floor of the coop tonight. Had to be!

I didn't think that they would lay until they were about 5 months old. Maybe because I started them in the winter?

My girls all started laying within the 4-5 month mark so ya never know

I still say Shirley

I would say Annie because her comb is bigger and darker than the rest. Your Ari is my Whoot and she laid almost last, but her comb wont get big..so just short and red. Amy I think will get a normal comb but I dont have that breed so dont know for sure. So I would say at this point.

Shirley then Annie. Even they have a ways to go, but they are more developed than the others. Ari will get red around the beak once she's close to POL.
