I have the one, I was hoping to get another broody, then I can give the new broody some eggs, and give the long suffering broody hen the chick. currently the chick is in the box. I may have to go to a friends tomorrow and buy some chicks.

The broody on the eggs has 4 on day 6 or so, the will be bantam NN/LO/blue cochin bantams.

t looks like my house is unintentionally part of the Father's Day hatchalong, too! I just pulled the last five eggs from my broody. She hatched out four little babies on Wednesday and Thursday. This morning, she pooped in her nest and walked away with her mini-brood. Since some of her eggs were "borrowed" from her sisters (aka chicken-swiped,) I figured there might be a few late hatchers, so I candled before I tossed the last eggs. I found two total duds, two that looked fully (or close) to developed, and one nearly done ... and moving! So, into the incubator they went. We'll see what develops ... pun intended.

Good luck, we found a unhatched turkey egg one time. the mom and another hen were fighting for the nest, and the mom hatched her babies out and left, leaving one chick and one egg behind. We let the chick be in the same nest for a couple days, no one came back for the chick or the egg. We took in the baby, and put the egg in the incubator, 5 days later the egg hatched. I asked a game guy what we should do. He said" outside a chicken coop the turkey belongs to the game dept.. Inside a chicken coop it is not our problem." I Said what if turkeys fly into our coop and eat our food? he said same thing applies.
