Feathers Acres I'm with you. I've got nada. I only have 3 eggs in my little bater, so I guess there's even a chance none will be good.

Here is a new baby with their party hat. This is one of the Welsummers. A total of 5 hatched (one a fatal victim of my dog) so 4 Wellies.

Good Morning!!! I have 5 chickies out so far!!! 2 black and 3 yellow!! I will post pics soon! I can't wait to see and hear about all the babies today!!!! Hooray!!!

Baldie, the dog incident was horrible. I cannot believe we only lost one. If my dad hadn't been here, I think she would have ruined every chick and egg! So I am thankful. Everyne is hatching really well.

Jamie, I have had cuckoos before so know how to sex them, but DID NOT know Wellies could be sexed too. What's the secret? I will go google now. I can see one has very different coloring than the other three. So if that is the case, I think I have 1 boy, 3 girlies.

We have 3 Buffies, 4 Wellies, and 1 Cuckoo. 4 more Buffies pipped. The last Weliie egg is doing nada. The Cuckoos were put in a day later, so I suspect they will all pop today.

This was a total staggered hatch, I am really happy with the results!

How do you sex cuckoos at hatch? I have one that I know is a pullet now but it took a couple of weeks to decide that. (She is like 12 weeks old now I think)
