I am 99% sure that what I am seeing in some of the Guinea eggs I put in an incubator (after a failed attempt to move the hen and nest) are veins! At what day is it typical to see them for a Guinea? I am not sure how long she had been sitting on them...not more than a few days I don't think. I am trying to figure out a hatch date. This is my first time ever hatching eggs. Any other tips for hatching Guineas would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!!!

i am - I started seeing veins on day 4-5.... they take 28 days to hatch... how much veining is there? can you candle it and get a good picture to post?

We had a surprise Guinea hatch a few days ago. I was moving trays to set a full tray of eggs. One of the guinea eggs (of 2) that I threw in as a whim and forgot about was pipping and cheeping like crazy. Humidity was only about 35%. I put it in the hatcher drawer and figured it would hatch or not, I couldn't up the humidity of the whole bator as nothing else was ready to hatch and new eggs don't like super high humidity.

About two hours later we had a hyper little guinea keet bouncing around the incubator. I put it in with the 1 1/2 week old Seramas and it's doing great. I set 13 more guinea eggs this week with that big group.
