Who is interested in Black Javas?

I had some M. Javas a couple years ago from Ideal. They still sell them along with Sandhill Preservation. As far as I know Mr Urch is the only one with the Blacks. A while back there was a story about blacks in the Backyard Magazine and featured a guy in Arkansas that raised them.

I am interested in the Black Java.
we will have to see what they look like and what you come up with.....
Before I will promise anything though...

Cool, does that person ship hatching eggs? That is a very reasonable price. There are several people on here that live in CA that have them too, but I only know of one person that has/had them here in Ga.

I was wondering if they shipped chicks? Do they have a website?

Hi Guys

Here are my 6 Mottled Java Chicks that I hatched from TACEYPERKINS. They are all healthy and active and Tacey's packing and shipping was Eggcellent.

I am really excited to get started on this breed and I hope to get Black and Whites this year as well, to try to improve the numbers of the breed.

Ive got 4 mottled javas and the roo just started crowing today. I also have 9 more chicks I hatched out a few weeks ago. The older ones are absolutely gorgeous. Can't wait to see how the younger ones turn out.

It's great to finally find this thread! I hatched out three sets of eggs last year from 2 different breeders. My birds are gorgeous but are mildly aggressive with any other poultry. The are great with my children and I, but I doubt I would be able to add any other birds to their flock. We have actually ate a few also. My first hatch was all cockerels and 1 hen, only me, and we needed to cut back on all that testosterone.

Right now we are just sitting back waiting for this long winter to be over. I'm hoping that the hens will start laying soon. I can't wait to fill the incubator.

Ellen
