Hi! I have six hens, all a little over a year old. Here's my mystery: based on their breeds, nobody should be laying white eggs and yet someone is! Here's what I've got:
1 Buff Orpington
1 Brahma
1 Delaware
1 Black Sex Link
2 Easter Eggers
I get brown eggs - some smaller, some large. I get my share of green eggs, which should be coming from the EEs. But I also get white eggs, which are actually just a hair pinkish when compared to store-bought white eggs. (They looks white when they're on their own, though.)
Could one of the EEs be laying the white ones?? Because the first four in the list are surely supposed to lay brown eggs...
Any thoughts would be of interest!
