Day 19 and nothing yet...this waiting is killing me! And...on top of that, I'm away from home and my husband is there with them...I'm so worried that there is something wrong. He did turn them on day 18 and I know you aren't suppose to do that...He told me I never told him that...
but of course I did...I'm an addict...I wouldn't forget that most important thing!
I hear a chirp...nothing in there a few minutes before and lol and behold.....I had my first hatch! 1 little BW quail running around. I can't wait for more to hatch.....been about a hour. Wow...the suspense...I am a very patient person...but boy am I excited!
You need to get the humidity up now. Add warm water on the sponge to get the humidity up and try not to open the bator until the hatch is done. I know it is hard but you need the humidity and everytime you open it you let the humidity out. Good luck
the big one pipped early yesterday (day 20) and the other little one ...the one DH took out of bator when still wet hatched late last night.
We have one that pipped this morning and havent seen any other movement all day....starting to worry!!!!
We're up to 6 EE chicks and 1 cross chick. My last green egg is pipped and starting to zip. The 5 bantam eggs haven't done anything but they were due a day behind the others. So we'll see. I'm so happy with our homemad hatcher!
