Hahahaha! Right after you posted that, it hatched!

Perfect little "girl"... looks good for toe separation... the crest could be a little poofier, but so far so good. Now the Dorking egg is pipped.

I'll post a pic as soon as she's dried off.

Congratulations: you got some really cute chicks. What kind are they?

Thanks for the comments. These are all Serama. Had another black one really small and a cutie but, his foot got worse and worse and had to cull him.

got one pipping now. has been working at it since 8:00 am is is now 12 hrs later, it chirps, and moves, but not out yet. It is a golden comet mom and dad, but I know they are sex links so whatever I get is what I have.

one out of 6 has pipped from this batch these are my own eggs so it is very exciting

I have lots more in the bator upstairs but they are not ready yet.

I am waiting for pips now from 9 eggs that are on day 19 now. I know it will be a couple more days but still.....the waiting. I'm with the1much- there should be a law that they should all hatch within 8 hours.

One more button popped out unexpectedly for a total of 24. White silkie is almost dry, and I'm not-so-patiently waiting for my very first Dorking chick (from MY flock, not someone else's) to finish zipping.

I lost the other one - it quit after I put it in the hatcher.

But, as luck would have it, it only had 4 toes on one foot, so it wouldn't have been a breeder if it had survived. I still hate losing them!
