I was awakened at 3:30am (5 hours) by CHEEP CHEEP CHEEP!!! There's a silvery orp in there this morning. Looked all black when it first came out and was still wet, but has since fluffed out. There are two more pips

, and the two that WERE wiggling last night have quieted down. I'm going to be very hard pressed to keep my nose off of the hatcher today...

This could be the new hatching record (HR)... the previous record of two chicks from a minimum of 12 eggs is held by NNBreeder (Les).

I think this little sweetheart will be "Sterling", in tribute to my first Sterling that passed. (I have a red-dot laser flashlight, and I did the sight-test this morning and she's good.) It's another splash?

Day 19 I have a frizzle cochin that didnt frizzle on eggs from a variety of hens! Is 11 to many for a bantam?

Day 14 I also have a white Americana on eggs that are from her and a white langshan rooster!

Question? Will the frizzle have a low hatch rate because of this frizzle gene? I have a male that is frizzled who mated with a girl who has the gene but has no frizzle? What are the chances of me getting any of these eggs to hatch Day 19 by the way i saw movement early when i candled at day 11

It's two photos of the same chick, but I have two more pips this morning, so I hope they're similar!
